We came here for the last meal of our Nola trip, to down some po'boys and they were absolutely incredible. We had a spicy potato salad to start, which had bits of spring onion in between and a touch of lemon I believe to cut across the potatoes.
The Gulf Shrimp po'boys were full of FRESH shrimp, and they weren't just fried as at most places. These were seared and I could taste every single ingredient which comprised this wonderful po'boy, particularly the coriander lime spice, sriracha aioli.
The po'boys here are the stuff of sandwich dreams; and consequently, I think I can now forever tell the difference between fresh and frozen shrimp at other restaurants. -

It's still open! Don't know why Yelp says this location has closed.
It is closed on Tuesdays, but that's it. -

By far the best Po'Boys I've had in my life. Do yourself favor and come here. You won't regret it.
I got the Glazed Pork Belly Po'Boy, Gulf Shrimp Po'Boy, and the Beer Braised Beef Po'Boy. And I'll tell you, it was the most enjoyable gastronomic experience I've ever had. And as a stranger in a strange land, this food helped connect me to NOLA in a way that felt like coming home.
Glenn is actually a culinary genius and David, the barkeep, is gregarious in a way that hints to the fact that he stacked all of his stat points in charisma.
Food, atmosphere, and conversation; I heard there South had it all, but this place has it in spades. -

Killer poboys are inside a bar, just FYI. The shrimp poboy for $14 was such a disappointment and never again. The shrimp were over cooked and gamy and with not much flavor.
The 6 inch size was a joke in size comparing to 12 inch standard all around New Orleans. This po boy was nothing and I mean nothing special so if you are not starving ...keep on walking. -

The foods so nice we had it twice.
So when you first come in here you're thinking, wow cool effing bar. But, the best is yet to come...
As you make your way thru the bar and thru some slot machines as a nuance.. behold the goldmine. The killer poboys indeed.
We had some poboys the night before at what seemed like a food chain type of place we were on the hunt for what this city was known for; POBOYS! And here we were. One shrimp poboy coming up. It was soooo fresh and delicious, we had another one. Partially because it was the best one we've ever had and also because we may never have another one like it.
Job well done boys. I have you on my must have lost without a doubt.
